Egidio Perfetti was a Swiss racing driver, born on 10th June 1953 in Zurich, Switzerland, and died on 5th December 2020. He began his career in motorsports in the 1970s, driving in the Swiss Formula Ford and Formula 3 Championships. It was in 1982 that half of the course would transform. In the middle of a season for the first time, it had accepted the challenge of an endurance race. It was a triumph, and the following year Perfetti and his team were racing in a Porsche 935, in the class reserved for the strongest cars - the Group 5. In 2018, at the age of 65, Perfetti teamed up with two bronze-rated drivers, Marvin Dienst and Matteo Cairoli, to win the GTE Am class at the 24 Hours of Le Mans. He was a successful businessman and was also the founder and CEO of Careal Property Group.
